Footnotes
1.Yes, I'm a programmer, and a geek, but perhaps that's chic these days
2. A friend suggests "guild" as an appropriate and professional term. It's a good term, but I think using "collective", "collaborative", or "cooperative" fits the more informal nature of what is on my mind. This should be open to discussion, however. Oh, and then there's the inside techie joke of "The Collective" -- you will be assimilated!
3. Having worked from a home office for six years, I'm sensitive to the needs of communication. Instant messangers work, despite the bad wrap they get as being AOL chat-room, newbie toys.
4. Perhaps there is also use in creating boilerplate language available for specific situations.
5. This list should reflect the current membership of freelance@sunnywood-designs.com and may need to move somewhere else so that it can be more dynamically updated.
